Amare Stoudemire?

I have heard that the Grizzlies have rejected a trade offer from the Phoenix Suns to obtain Amare Stoudemire. The Grizzlies reportedly would have to give up Conley, Gay, and Warrick. Considering the way these guys are currently playing, I believe that would be a little to much to give up for Amare. Since the coaching change, all 3 of these players are averaging over 10 points per game. Rudy is at 21.3 ppg, Conley is at 13.5 ppg and Warrick is at 12.5 ppg. Their regular season ppg this season is 39.6 or their recent ppg is 47.3. That is too much scoring and potential to give up to obtain Amare Stoudemire. Amare is only at 21 ppg and 8 rpg.

I have heard that Warrick is not in the long term plans of this team. If that is the case, then I would like to see them make this trade with a couple changes. Lowry, Gay and Warrick would be one option. I imagine Lowry would like the opportunity to backup Nash, knowing that Nash is only going to be the guy for a few more years. I don't know how much desire Lowry has to stay here if the Grizzlies are going to make Conley the man at point.

Another option would be Gay, Warrick, Arthur, and the Lakers' first round pick next year. I wouldn't mind giving up Arthur becuase if we get Stoudemire, than Arthur isn't going to be needed. You would have Amare, Darko, and Marc to play the 4 and 5 spots. I think you could play Darko as a good backup to Amare and Marc and would have a great trio in the post.

I believe it is very important that the Grizzlies try very hard to get Amare on this team within the next week. It will show the fans that the team is very commited to winning and will make a big splash in the national media. If we could get Conley, Mayo, Stoudemire, and Gasol together, that is a nice core to build around.

Please Grizzlies, GET AMARE!!!!!!!

  1. amare won't be happy with that haha, he wants to go to a winner and be the man! but how can that happen by going to a winner? All nba players talk about winning but their actions speak louder than words you can tell who really cares and who doesn't
